The worlds tallest mountain range near an ocean, the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta
produces one of the mildest and richest Organic Colombian Coffees. The deep-rooted tradition of coffee plantations in Sierra Nevada dates back to the end of the 19th century, making good use of this unique strategic location and climatic diversity of that region.
The local climate allows for just one harvest to take place during the year from the end of October through the end of March. This guarantees a highly homogenized harvest. Prolonged summer conditions help keep plagues and diseases away. This has helped preserve our original Arabica Typica variety which is elsewhere extinct in Colombia.
The Sierra Nevada Coffee Bean is naturally larger in size than in other Colombian regions. This translates into a coffee of unique fragrance and aroma. The excellent water quality used in the plantations also accentuates the unique characteristics of acidity, body and taste.
