The seeds, skins, and leaves of grape are used in traditional medicine as a source of healing in many periods.
Grape seed contains high amount of PCO (proanthocyanidin) which is known as the most powerful antioxidant. It is 20 times powerful than vitamin C, and 50 times more powerful than vitamin E.
Antioxidants neutralize the harmful substances (free radicals) formed in our bodies either as a consequence of chemical reactions or taken from the outside by cigarette, alcohol, or polluted air.
Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules which can attack on, destroy, and mutate normal cells.
As a consequence of damages caused by free radicals, a kind of cancer-associated cell growth occurs.
Grape seed helps to reduce the oxidative damages risks to our DNA provoked by free radicals.
