We have Roasted Hazelnuts whole in appearance. Although the
product has been blanched some skin may remain. Because the
product is natural the percentage whole count cannot be guaranteed.
Harvest Hazelnuts are hand harvested whilst in their husks. The
husks are removed after being sun dried, some husks
are removed by hand but most in husking machines. Sheller’s crack the shells between revolving millstones or other similar equipment.
The shell is then removed and the nuts cleaned by
blowers. The Hazelnuts are then screened and graded to size.Process Blanched Hazelnuts roasted above 120ºC, inspected and sieved prior to packing/weighing.
