Where Our Wild Honey come from?

 

Wild Forest Honey or "Madu Hutan" are commonly consumed by Indonesian people. We get the Honey from "Honey Hunters" they're not a Bee Farmers, they're Hunter. Apis Dorsata is a Largest Species of honey bee in the world. They're twice more productive than ordinary bees. The Bees also hardworker, they can built the nest and produce honey in just 2-3 month. Ordinary Farm Bees need about 6 month to produce their nest and honey.

 

They make their nest in the branches of tall tree (more than 10 meter).   Apis dorsata is a defensive bee and has never been domesticated. When disturbed, the workers may exhibit a defensive behavior known as defense waving. Deep Sumateran Jungle also are home of many wild beast such as tiger, wild boar or forest monkey. Real Honey will not become frozen, they will become more thick but not frozen.
