Description:
Korean pine is an evergreen tree of the genus Songke Song, tree height up to 30 meters, diameter of one meter; gray-brown bark when young, nearly smooth, tree bark gray or taupe, diastema into irregular rectangle squamous block piece, red-brown after exposing the lobes off endothelium; often the upper part of the trunk bifurcation, branches nearly flat, conical crown; annual branches densely brown or reddish-brown pubescence; winter buds reddish brown, oblong oval form, tip, micro with resin, bud scales loose arrangement.
Pine like light and strong, high requirements for soil moisture, not too dry, too wet soil and cold climates. It grows best in warm on cold and rainy, the relative humidity is high climate and deep fertile, well-drained acidic brown forest soil. Korean pine is a semi-positive species, shallow-rooted, often born in the hillside on well-drained moist, shade-resistant saplings, more sensitive to atmospheric humidity, moisture above 0.7 good growth, poor growth at 0.5 or less.
