We were first introduced to cameo Apples in the early Fall of 2006 at a local farm store. We have not seen these apples in any supermarket in our area. Cameo apples are large, crisp, and have a sweet-tart flavor, and make a great eating apple. Cameo apples originally came from a single, lone tree which was found to be growing amidst an orchard full of Red Delicious apples in Dryden, Washington, in the mid 1980s. Today they are also grown in New York State. We could not find any specific nutritional information for cameo apples, so we've included only general apple nutritional information.
