Honey is the oldest natural sweetener known to mankind, it is a 100% natural product and must be absolutely free from additives and other ingredients.
The honey assortment includes Danish produced honeys as well as imported honeys.
The imported honeys originate from beekeepers in many different countries. The assortment includes clear and set honeys and varies from blended honeys to speciality honeys of geographical or floral origin.
Honey is a regulated product and the legislation deals with both the beekeeping and the quality and specifications of the honey.
Organic honey is produced by the honey bees in vast natural areas or organically grown areas with a minimum distance to conven-tionally grown areas, cities and villages, industrial areas, major roads, etc. These minimum distances are fixed based on the honey bees? actual flying range so that one can be certain that they honey is of organic origin. The organic honeys are collected and treated according to EU?s Directive on Organic Foodstuffs.
