1) Telllcherry Garbled black pepper (TGSEB, TGEB, TG)
Specification :
Grade - TGSEB
* Extraneous matter % wt, max - 0.5
**Light berries % wt, max - 3
Moisture content % wt, max - 11
Shall be the dried mature berries of Piper nigrum grown in South India,
Garbled, dark brown to dark black in colour, nearly globular, with a wrinkled surface,
the deepest wrinkles forming a network on the dried berry. It shall be free from
mould or insect or any other adulterant. Diameter will be 4.75 mm or above
* These comprise dust, chaff, pickings and other foreign matter.
Pinheads will be regarded as an extraneous matter.
** Light berry-content to be tested by flotation method in alcohol or
methylated spirit of specific gravity 0.80 to 0.82 at room temperature (around 25o C).
2) MG ( Malabar Garbled Black Pepper )
Specification :
Grade - MG Grade 1 ( MG 1)
* Extraneous matter % wt, max - 0.5
**Light berries % wt, max - 2
Moisture content % wt, max - 11
* These comprise dust, chaff, pickings and other foreign matter.
Pinheads will be regarded as an extraneous matter.
**Light berry-content to be tested by flotation method in alcohol or
methylated spirit of specific gravity 0.80 to 0.82 at room temperature (around 25o C).
3) white pepper
White pepper actually comes from the same plant species as black peppercorns,
but the peppercorns have been allowed to fully ripen before having the black outer husks removed.
Ground white peppercorns go especially well in sauces, on light colour meats such as fish, with eggs,
and even in mashed potatoes.
Certifications:
All grades are steam sterilized and will meet ASTA (American Spices Trade Association) or
ESA (European Spice Association) quality standards or any other certifications recommended by the buyer.
All Consignments to USA will comply with the US FDA standards.
Packing:
In single Jute / PP bags with quantity per pack and printing on bags as per buyer’s requirement.
