Isorhamnetin, the main active ingredient of sea buckthorn flavonoid, is extracted from
plants of Elaeagnus fruit of sea buckthorn hippophae fhamnoides L. Sea buckthorn is mainly
distributed in north, northwest and northeast of China. Isorhamnetin is yellow or brown-yellow powder, odorless, with slightly bitter taste. It can be dissolved in ethanol,
ethyl acetate, and organic solvent; slightly soluble in alkaline solution and
insoluble in water.
