Our Services

 

 

 

Our services include:Tasting, sampling and grading. This is done from Wednesday to Saturday. Monday and Tuesday are tea auction days. Blending and packing takes place when we are preparing to export and this takes place weekly.

Kenya produces tea all the year round with minimal seasonal variations to the quality of the tea. Kenyan tea is mostly Black tea used primarily for blending. Most Kenyan tea is processed by the CTC (cut, tear and curl) method and comes in three main grades, Broken Pekoe, Pekoe fanning and Pekoe dusts.

 

Most Kenyan tea is used for Tea bags with a proportion available as loose tea. It has FLAVOR and reddish colour. The flavor and the reddish colour make the tea have a high demand worldwide.

 

Who We Are

 

Afro Teas limited started business in April, 2011 and is a member of East African Tea Trade Association. Afro teas buy tea at the auction and sometimes buys direct from the tea factories. Our markets are: Pakistan, Sudan, Chad and Iran. Afro Teas has a Managing Director who is qualified in tea production, tea tasting, tea quality reporting and tea marketing.

 

 

 

The managing director has been in the tea industry since 1996 and prior to starting Afro Teas limited, has been a senior Manager in various tea buying companies. We conduct our business with honesty, integrity, and openness and with respect for human rights and interests of our clients.
