Developed in Baltimore in 1901, King Syrup reigns supreme and has been a category leader in the Mid-Atlantic region for years. King Syrup is a special blend of corn and sugar syrups that are cooked to a temperature that requires glass bottling. This process eliminates extreme sweetness and gives smoother results, yielding a uniquely flavored golden syrup. No wonder it has be called Americas finest table syrup. King Po-T-Rik Molasses is a true blend of West Indian Molasses and Corn Syrup, skillfully blended to retain its old fashioned rum flavor without a harsh aftertaste. It imparts a delicious flavor when used in cooking or baking. People along the eastern seaboard have served both King Syrup and Po-T-Rik with pancakes, waffles and biscuits for generations. They are both also used as a baking ingredient in everything from Shoo-fly Pie to Peanut Brittle. | |||
