In Finland, Valio has launched a completely lactose-free milk drink, which even people with the highest degree of lactose intolerance can enjoy. This new product, with a fat content of only 1,5 %, tastes just like ordinary milk and can be consumed as such. There is also a skimmed version available.
Milk is an important part of Finnish food culture, with the average Finn consuming 140 litres annually. However, nearly 20% of Finnish adults suffer from intestinal problems caused by disorders in the digestion of lactose. In the past, Valio has made great efforts to provide these lactose intolerant milk drinkers with low-lactose milk products - sold under the HYLA® brand name in Finland. Now Valio offers these milk drinkers an even more advanced solution in the form of its completely lactose-free milk drink. Products are also available in Sweden.
