It is made from the cold infusion of thin fresh lemon peels, grown in the Garganos promontory, with any use of chemical substances. The botanical species named Lemon Femminello del Gargano has also recently been awarded with the acknowledgement of Protected Geographic Indication (P.G.I.) by the European Union.
