Our live black lip abalone are hand picked from the pristine waters off Tasmania. Much care is taken to ensure only the highest quality, healthiest fish are used. Each fish is individually inspected for its colour, quality & cleanliness. The southern coasts off Tasmania with its pollution free waters are known to produce the finest abalone found anywhere in the world with the black lip variety being among the very best tasting. When an order for export is placed, the fresh abalone is typically packed in 12kg styrofoam boxes. An icepack is inserted to keep the abalone at the optimum low temperature for transport. The abalone will arrive in good condition generally within 36 hours after shipment. Sizes available vary to suit our customers preferences however the usual sizes exported are 340g-450g & 450g+ per fish. Stringent guidelines are adhered to when exporting with our export department being approved and accredited by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services (AQIS) under the Food Product Accreditation (FPA) system to export live abalone
