GCM farms and raises live hogs that are sold in Mexico’s pork market. Approximately 80% of our livestock is sold to customers in Mexico City, while the remainder is sold in the country’s central states of Veracruz, Puebla and Morelos. The majority of our clients are family-owned businesses that slaughter and process the hogs, selling them to various segments of the meat market.
Different markets prefer hogs of specific weight, body compositions (muscle vs. fat), and carcass performance. As such, we cater to each of our customers, providing them with a range of hogs suitable for the varying markets in which they are involved.
The size of GCM - over 13 farms, 550 employees, and capacity for more than 700,000 hogs - allows us to supply all levels of the market, from small businesses to large corporations and everywhere in between.
