Goji(other names as:Lycium barbarum,wolfberry,medlar) has been long cultivated in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China. The superior quality of goji berry here has been a result of unique high-land geographic environment and climate.
Sufficient sunlight,effective accumulated temperature,and big temperature difference between day and night,mineral-rich soils and non-pollution air and water,all coupled together, offers exceptionally ideal cultivating conditions for goji berry.
By the end of 2016 total plantation area of wolfberry in Qinghai is up to 26000 hectares,with yearly output of 40000 tons. 20% of farming land has been certified as organic by EU.
