Although is is labeled as "soup" in a menu, Thais usually treat it as one of the main dishes and they will eat "Tom Yam" along with other dishes-not before other dishes. Tom Yam can be made with all kinds of meat. However, shrimp tends to be the preferred ingredient among many restaurants.
You have to blend a lot of spices to make a aromatic tom yam soup...But with this stock cube you can prepare this dish easily...
What you have to do is just put in all the ingredients you want(normally I will dump in shrimps, tomatoes, onions, Mushrooms and kaffir leaves for the smell) and dump in the stock cube and add some salt for seasoning...
