Malt extract is a mixture of natural sugars that results from the natural enzymatic hydrolysis of the malted barley. The malt extract produced by Maltexco is prepared from our best malted barley which comes directly from one of our malt houses located adjoining the malt extract preparation plant.
Due to its special flavour, colour and pleasant aroma, the malt extract is used widely in the foodstuffs industry in order to improve organoleptic properties, nutritional value, texture and useful lives of products.
