Although they are not categorized as a vitamin, dietary lutein & Zeanxanthin are believed to be essential nutrients for normal vision. Lutein & Zeaxanthin can lower the risk of age related vision loss by protecting the retina from damage of the photo-oxidative affect of blue light.
