Double distilled in copper pot stills from 100 malted barley, some of which is dried over peat fires to give a unique, lightly peated style. Matured in specially selected oak casks for a minimum of eight to over twelve years. On the nose, Michael Collins Single Malt has aromas of chocolate malt with light citrus and honeysuckle notes. On the palate, it is well-rounded and complex with a rich maltiness. The long finish has a hint of chocolate and a wonderfully settled smoky flavor from the peat that lingers on the palate.
