Beeswax Characteristics :   Light yellow to yellow colour   of varying intensity with a fine grain mattnoncrystalline fracture.  Becomes soft and pliable when warmed by hand.  Odour noticeable and characteristic of honey. Practically insoluble in water, completely soluble in volatile and fixed oils.

 

Beeswax   Processin :    Pure crude cappings beeswax is gently melted over clean untreated bore water to remove any traces of honey and is then allowed 

to settle.   The molten beeswax is then cast into rectangular moulds.  Colour is uniform throughout each batch. 

 

Beeswax Hazard:  Water should not be added to beeswax which is at a temperature exceeding 95 deg C as it will cause uncontrolled foaming
