TARA is a native tree from Peru, distributed throughout Latin America and introduced to
countries far away such as Morocco, India and China, who have begun to take advantage of
the economic benefits of this valuable species.
In our country it has been used since pre-Hispanic times as a dye species and since the time of
the colony was used in the tanning of hides. Nowadays, it is also very required for its healing
properties.

PROPERTIES

• Medicinal: Acts against tonsillitis by gargling with the infusion of mature pods and as
  cicatrizante when washing wounds with this infusion. In addition, the tara is used
  against stomatitis, flu and fever.
• Dying: The tare is used as a mordant. Also, the pods are used to dye black and dark
  blue roots.
• Tanning: Because of the high tannin content of the pods.
• Tannin: It is an export product that is obtained from the mature pods sprayed.
• Tart Gum: The endosperm of the seeds contain a gum that is used to stabilize and
  emulsify foods.
• Cosmetic: The firing of the leaves is used to prevent hair loss.
• Agroforestry: The tara is used as a living fence and for the management of sprouts.
  Pesticide: The water from the cooking of dry pods is effective against lice and insects.

PRECAUTIONS:
This product has no contraindications to be a food product. In the literature we have
found no reports about contraindications for use of its components, or possible drug
