Vitamin K2 has various derivates, named according to the length of the “side chain”, and expressed by MK-n. The most common forms are synthetic vitamin K2 as menaquinone-4 (MK-4) and natural vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7 (MK-7) with the highest absorption and bioactivity.
