DESCRIPTION:White or light yellow crystal or crystalline powder. Odorless or slightly smell. Slightly acidic taste. 1% aqueous solution of the PH value of 3.0-4.0.Isoelectric point of 4.23-4.25. PH value at λmax between 1.28-1.30 is the 261.5nm. No moisture absorption. Dry state very stable, aqueous solution is also fairly stable root. In acid or alkaline solution almost no decomposition. With acid formed quaternary ammonium salt. Carboxylic acid and alkali to form alkali metal salts. With heavy metal salts to form water-soluble heavy metal salt hardly. When hydrogen sulfide is then revert back to niacin. The mercury salts do not dissolve in water, mercuric chloride salt can be detected in micro-nicotinic acid.1g of this product is dissolved in 60ml water. Soluble in boiling water ,boiling ethanol ,the alkaline hydroxide and carbonate. Almost insoluble in ether.
