Adictos Coffee.
One of our most advanced lines is the Marketing and Agribusiness, where we have been very successful with our brand / company, Tostado Coffee Industry Adictos Coffee.
Adictos Coffee looks for coffee with interesting attributes in the best coffee zones of Nicaragua, we make creative mixes that offer a particular experience in terms of flavors and attributes.
Given the avalanche of soluble coffee and the promotion of coffees with artificial attributes, we want to rescue the culture of good coffee, elegance, work and the specialty that it contains.
We only roast small batches of coffee that has gone through a Q Grade cupping control, the grain should be of strict height (SHG), selected of uniform size, we make sure that the producers where our coffee comes from apply Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) , The grain is benefited and roasted under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Nicaragua Blend
Our most prominent blend is Nicaragua Blend, whose purpose is to rescue the natural attributes of specific varieties of Arabica coffee, plus the territorial element that makes some attributes stand out
For example, the northern of our country, Jinotega and Matagalpa have very acid soils, this makes the coffee in this area have greater acidity and body. On, the zone of Las Segovias, Dipilto, Las Sabanas and San Juan de Río Coco has more alkaline soils, this makes the coffee sweeter and more aromatic.
Nicaragua Blend takes varieties from these areas to create a "round" cup possesses a uniform distribution of attributes, giving the opportunity to enjoy the best of our country and providing a cup with floral aroma, sweet fragrance, clean cup, chocolate notes and lasting residual flavor.
Supply Chain of Nicaragua Blend
70% of the producers who grow coffee for Adictos Coffee are small producers (1.5 to 7 hectares), who involve their family to manage their coffee plots.
When the grain reaches its suitable degree of maturity, it is cut by hand and taken to the process of wet processing where the pulp of the grain is separated, fermented, washed and pre-dried until the grain is brought to a humidity of 42%. From this process the parchment coffee is obtained.
The coffee in parchment is taken from the farms to the infrastructure of dry benefit where it is dried in the sun until it reaches a humidity of between 11.5% and 12.5%.
After 4 weeks of rest, it is reviewed for quality control. If the quality control shows that it meets the requirements of the brand, the parchment peel is separated from the grain, sifted and selected according to the standards for Special Coffee.
Gold is obtained from this process. For the preparation of the Adictos Coffee blend, small samples of the different batches are selected, which are roasted, ground and tasted by a Q Grade certified quality control team. the attributes, flavors, aromas and cleanliness of Adictos Coffee, if the expected characteristics are found, these lots are approved for roasting.
