San Rafael is a 70,000 hectare oasis located at 250km south of the Mendoza province, near the Atuel and Diamante rivers. The weather is temperate with arid and semi-arid characteristics; less than 300mm of rainfall per year. The humidity percentage is very low since the Cordillera de Los Andes acts as a natural barrier, blocking the winds coming from the pacific ocean and slowing down the passage of clouds and allowing over 14,000 hours of sunshine during the olives’ growth period.
