The virgin olive oil "Eliki" is produced in Aigeialia. The olive trees are cultivated on rocky, limestone soil on well-aired and sunlit slopes overlooking the Corinthian gulf.The type that is traditionally cultivated (90%) is called Kondsouroyia and is grown exclusively for its fine olive oil. The olive crop is gathered by the traditional method of hand and "comb" and the result is a healthy crop. On the same day, the crop is taken to olive presses which are scattered throughout the villages.
