Asparagus gems are sliced asparagus stems. The gems are blanched, cooled, frozen and vacuum packaged to maintain quality. No preservaitives are used. They are packaged in 4 oz. (1/4 lb.) bags so that each bag constitutes a one cup serving. Asparagus gems are sold by the pound, so each package is comprised of four bags. These can be used in place of Fresh asparagus in cooked products.
