         Zameen Organic, a social enterprise focused on Agriculture business, based at Hyderabad & provides a sustainable way to improve the livelihoods of small and marginalized farmers in India. Organization was founded in 2006, currently works with 5432 small and marginalized farmers with over 15,822 acres under cultivation in Amravati (Maharashtra) and Kagaznagar (Adilabad region of Andra Pradesh). Predominant area of focus is Organic & Fairtrade Lint. These areas witnessed high suicide rates amongst the Cotton farmers. Since inception, there have been no suicides reported in the project areas. Our Organization has reserved 51% shares for the small landholding farmers. Farmers have established good governance structure by organizing themselves in Groups, Clusters, Regional Farmer Associations and National Producer Executive Body. Fairtrade Premium received on account of the sale is utilized for rural development activities by these farmer organizations. Organic Premium reaches the individual farmer.
We are happy to commence business for 2010-11 seasons with the harvest of
the crop on the cards. We are currently in the process of generating sale for our small and marginalized farmers with prospective buyers for Organic and Fairtrade Lint. We will be available to provide you with the staple length between 28mm to 30mm because of our large and well spread project area. If there is an enquiry and we know your specific needs, we could provide you with the lint sample and complete product details.
