Pacific Hake ( Merluccius productus ) is our largest volume product. This Fish is caught off the west coast of British Columbia . With modern trawl technology, the Osprey No.1 is able to cut and freeze within hours of harvest, ensuring the best quality possible from this delicately fleshed fish. Mariner Seafoods International Sdn. Bhd. is able to supply approximately 5500 metric tonnes of finished Pacific Hake product annually . All of the Pacific Hake is headed, gutted, tailed and block frozen at sea. Pacific Hake is a migratory species. It is abundant off our coast in the summer and fall months, but is sparse in January and February. We are able to supply Pacific Hake 10 months of the year, between May and February.
