Paratexin BSB is compatible with most personal care ingredients and the presence of phenoxyethanol reduces, or overcomes the inactivation of parabens exhibited by some nonionic emulsifiers when parabens are used alone.
In formulations with a high protein content, it may be necessary to use a higher concentration of Paratexin BSB compared with a similar formulation with no protein present.
At typical use concentrations of 0.3 1.0%, Paratexin BSB is non-irritant to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
Paratexin BSB has application in all categories of personal care products and retains its activity over the range pH 3 8.
