The Recipe:
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light Karo
1 lb. Powdered sugar (about 3 cups)
1 tsp salt
5 tbs water
1 small can evaporated milk
4 cups pecans
1 tsp vanilla
Cook first 6 items to soft ball stage (235 degrees). Remove from heat, add pecans and vanilla and beat until it loses its gloss, then beat a few minutes more. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
