Black Pepper
Sri Lankan black pepper is the fruit of the vine piper nigrum, pepper from these plants is produced in two forms, as black pepper is the whole dried fruit, while white pepper is the decorticated dried fruit. It is largely cultivated in the central province of Sri Lanka .

Pepper corns when ground shall have a characteristic, penetrating odour and a hot, biting pungent taste excluding rancidity and mustiness. On visual exclamation shall be free of adulterants.
