Persimmons are devided into sweet varieties and astringent varieties. Sweet Persimmons share more than 80% in persimmon cultivation area. As they are weak in cold weather. Korean persimmons are generally grown in the warmer, southern region of the country. Of different varieties, Puyu sweet persimmons are Korean's representative export variety. They are round and a little flat and contain high sugar level and extra-high Vitamin A level. Korean sweet persimmons are produced from October to November and exported by January of next year.
