Mead is a fermented alcoholic beverage similar to wine, made of honey, water and yeast. We offer the following types of meads, depending on the ratio by volume of honey to water in the solution:
- poltorak (one-and-a-half-mead) - 1 part of honey to 0.5 parts of water
- dwojniak [double mead] - 1 part of honey to 1 part of water
- trojniak [triple mead] - 1 part of honey to 2 parts of water
- czworniak [quadruple mead] - 1 part of honey to 3 parts of water
The proportions are referred to litres. The maturation time depends on the type of mead. Accordingly, czworniak [quadruple mead] matures for 6-7 months, trojniak [triple mead] for 2-3 years, dwojniak [double mead] and poltorak [one-and-a-half mead] are ready for consumption no sooner than after 8-10 years. With the passage of time their aroma and taste improve.
