The variety of Pomelo grown in Taiwan was originally brought from the Fujian province in China; however, significant improvements have been made to both the flavour and quality.
This is a large round fruit with light green skin and yellowish white flesh. The skin is about 1 cm thick and the flesh is very tender, juicy and sweet.
After harvesting, pomelo stored at room temperature for 7-10 days will have a sweeter flavor, easily reaching 11-12 Brix.
Pomelo are a very important and popular fruit for celebrating the Chinese Moon Festival every autumn.
