Opperdoezer Ronde are early, quite firm potatoes, with a rich creamy flavour, bursting with vitamins, and are considered a delicacy by gourmets! The deep-eyed tuber has an irregular oval shape, with yellowy-white flesh. This special potato is cultivated by just 63 growers in the immediate area of the village of Opperdoes. In contrast to all other potato varieties, the Opperdoezer Ronde is mainly harvested by hand to protect the delicate, thin skin from damage.
