Premium Ceylon Black Tea - PEKOE 1 

When used outside the context of black-tea grading, the term "pekoe" (or, occasionally, Orange pekoe) describes the unopened terminal leaf bud (tips) in tea flushes. These teas are smaller in size but similar to PEKOE in flavor and liquoring characteristics. Slightly different in texture to PEKOE, our range of PEKOE 1 graded tea leaves are categorized as high grown tea which is renowned for refine taste and is most sought after world over. Given the high elevation at which it is picked, the tea is bright in colour and greater in flavor and freshness.

This grade has a full bodied bright red colour and sligthly mild delicate taste when brewed.
