Potato starch is a free-flowing powder, which is colored white, although yellow shade is sometimes allowed. Get it when processing potato tubers. The product has neither taste nor smell. Depending on the amount of moisture, there are 2 types of potato starch: brand A from 38 to 40% and brand B from 50 to 52%. In addition, there is a classification of each brand: 1, 2 and 3 grade. In the food industry, potato starch is used in the manufacture of confectionery and sausages.
