Thickner, Emulsifier and stabilizer

Propylene glycol alginate (PGA) is derived from alginic acid which is extracted from natural seaweed. It is in the form of white or flaxen powder. Aqueous solution is viscous colloid. Compare with alginate, it has better resistance against acid and salts. And PGA is a good seawee based Food Additive which has excellent performance.

Application:

In food industry, used as thickner, emulsifier and stabilizers.

PGA has good acid proof property, can be used in condition with PH at 3-5

PGA has strong frothing and emulsifying ability. Widely used as a stabilizer for yogurt, flavoring and beer foam.

Dosage:

Dairy:0.1-0.3%

Lactic acid beverage: 0.2-0.7%

Juice: 0.2-0.7%

Beer: 0.002-0.006%

Spreads: 0.1-0.3%

Flavoring:0.1-0.3%

Coffee Mate: 0.1-0.3%

Specification:

Esterification Degree: 80% min.
