1. Bee wax Pellets Introduction:
Bee wax is a natural secretion from wax glands on the sides of the body of honey bees and is used primarily as a building block for the bees' comb cells in which the young are raised and honey and pollen are stored.
At honey harvest time the honeycombs are carefully opened to allow for honey to drain from the comb. The bees seal the honey into the combs with wax "capping" placed over every cell filled with honey. This capping is removed at harvest and is used in the production of our beeswax which is scented with the sweet aroma of honey.
2. Pure Beeswax Properties:
• Relatively low melting point (drop melting point 62-67 °C)
• Moderately hard and somewhat sticky
• Plastic and kneadable at body temperature, non-crystalline, finely grained fracture pattern
• Excellent retention of oils with different polarities
• Produces matte surfaces
