Story of The Brand
Quadro brand has an interesting story to tell. The name QUADRO refers to the shape of a bottle, which resembles the stone that had been widely used in construction in Renaissance Italy. That stone received the name Quadro after its quadratic shape and so did the bottle of the vodka. This name both implies the shape of the bottle and its stackable feature and creates an image of the Quadro brand. This image represents a key element in marketing and promoting the brand.
Quadro stone with its classic, felicitous and harmonious shape was the most popular masonry material. It was used for paving roads and squares, and in the construction of bridges as well as the worlds famous architectural masterpieces. Italian masons were employed by Moscow grand prince Ivan the Third to reconstruct the Moscow Kremlin. And later, Red Square was paved with a stone of a similar shape. Given that, the name Quadro seemed the most appropriate for this vodka.
The inventive idea of the bottles stackability, when implemented, allows a most creative approach to shop window arrangement, at the same time inspiring customers to bring out their own artistic spirit. How It Is Made
As all original Russian vodkas, Quadro is produced from grain. Backed by centuries of experience in Russian vodka distilling, founders of Quadro brand were able to analyze and establish the optimal ratio of Grains for the production of alcohol for Quadro vodka. The unique recipe and technology know-how is based on a certain proportion of grains making vodka extremely smooth without using glycerin. The main feedstock component for producing ethanol for Quadro vodka is winter wheat combined with a small amount of winter rye and very small amounts of other crops. The grain is purchased from certain regions of the Russian Central zone, famous for centuries of Cereal growing. We use winter crops because, unlike the summer crops, they contain more special components that give vodka better taste qualities.
The technologies were developed jointly with the committed professionals working in the Russian space program. In particular, they contributed in designing and constructing the original reflux condenser. Its support structure is stainless steel and the inner surface, which has contact with the aqueous-alcohol solution, is made of copper. The ethanol production utilizes a unique purification process which decreases methanol content in the final product by 15-20 times compared to normal Russian quality standards. The vodka is distilled an optimal four times.
Water for the Quadro vodka production is taken from the water-bearing beds of ecologically pristine Prioksko-Terrasni forest reserve. It is famous for its numerous rivers flowing in the thick woods of the Moscow region, where sand and clay-based soils form a terrace structure letting surface water naturally filter. This water is exceptionally clear and rich with oxygen.
The production process basically follows the traditional Russian vodka technology. However, it was substantially improved by: (1) The use of up-to-date materials and equipment, including deep polypropylene filters; (2) Employment of advanced stabilization methods and the upgrading of the vodka's organoleptic characteristics; (3) Online continuous control of the products physical chemical parameters.
The quality of vodka is ensured through a scientifically engineered closure with a special check valve, which prevents any foreign fluid from penetrating into the bottle and locks out impurities. This valve also prevents air from entering the bottle, thereby preserving the vodkas original strength. In addition, the closure is fitted with a pourer, which forms a fine thin stream when filling the glass.
