This hard red spring wheat is locally grown and harvested and is cleaned commercially at Hefty Seed Co in Centerville, SD. It is Not Organically grown, but conventionally grown using one application of broadleaf herbicide along with a fungicide treatment before joint stage of growth and no herbicide or chemical treatments from then on. Excellent quality at 15.4+% protien and approx 55# test weight which has no effect on over-all quality and food value as 50# wheat and 60# wheat have the same food value pound for pound. The determining factor in evaluating food quality is the protien content. I can provide samples for you to have tested if you desire.
