In our company, The Founctional Monascus Red Rice (Red Yeast Rice) is produced by the Monascus purpureus with the cereals and ater as raw materials in the solid-state fermentation.According to the results from HPLC analysis, the monacolin k in the natural red yeast rice is mainly in the form of acidMonacolin K  instead of the lactone form.The results demonstrated this product is truly made from fermentation process.Another characteristic feature of this product is that there is no citrinin.Ergosterol ,unsaturated fatty acid ,amino acids aipha-GABAand active peptides are also found in this product.

1. It is a Natural product. This Functional Monascus Red Rice (Red Yeast Rice) is obtained only by fermening.

2. Red Yeast Rice contains a family of monacolins (polycetides) with the ability to inhibit cholesterol synthesis and lower plasma cholesterol levels. One of the monacolins (Monacolin K) is identical in chemical structure to Lovastatin, which is widely sold as a prescription cholesterol-lowering drug, but the other monacolins in this botanical supplement may also have cholesterol-lowering activity.

3. The Monacolin K exists mainly(60%-85%) in Acid form in RYR.
