We can supply different vatieties of rice: LONG GRAIN: The length is over 6 millimeters. Cooking time is faster than for short grain and it remains loose and whole, which is essential for the preparation of salads and garnishes for different dishes. long grain rice has a lower absorption rate, which means that its faster to cook and remains looser than round grain, that way it is perfect for garnishes and salads. Among the main long grain varieties, we find Basmati Rice which is an aromatic rice that comes from Himalayan valley and is of an immaculate white colour.
MEDIUM GRAIN: The length of this grain is about 5-6 millimeters and it isthe most consumed rice in the world. It takes more time to be cooked but remains whole and loose. It is the rice used in "paellas" and oven cooked rice dishes.
PAR-BOILED: It almost has the same nutritional values as paddy rice. It does not get doughy or sticky, but does take longer to be cooked. It is utilized to prepare different Spanish regional rice dishes. This rice is treated in a parboiling process, where nutrients are preserved and which assures that the rice never overcooks.
ROUND GRAIN: Its length is shorter than medium grain and takes less time to cook. It is perfect for creamy rice, Italian risottos and different rice pudding recipes. Round grain is most frequent in Spain and is the best in absorbing the taste of the broth in which its cooked.
