And Reverse Osmosis is a method driven by pressure by means of semipermeable membrane that separate the solute and solvent, which in English known as Reverse Osmosis, and is that we normally known as RO.
RO is a new membrane separation technology developed from 60's, that dated back to aerospace technology research in the United States in the 1960s , gradually converted to civilian use. Now RO has been widely used in scientific research, medicine, food, beverages, seawater desalination or other fields. In ultrapure water for industrial use, such as electronic, electrical ultrapure water, chemical, electroplating ultrapure water, boiler feedwater and medical ultrapure water, RO is often used as the primary treatment before de-ionization or(EDI). Compared to the traditional method using ion exchange resins as pretreatment, RO is more economic and energy-saving, and the operation is more stable and the water quality is more reliable, and can greatly extend the regeneration cycle of the ion exchange resin and the cleaning cycle of electrodeionization ( EDI) .
Based on accumulated experience, we have developed desalination technology and engineering suitable for China. The fresh water after desalination can meet the World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water quality standards for directly drinking. Also can be used for industrial pure water in electrical, electronic, medicine and energy industries after advanced treatment. In addition, seawater desalination technology of our company has got broader applications, for example partly desalinated seawater is used for irrigating grass, this not only can save a great deal of fresh water resources, but the cost is lower than wastewater advanced treatment. Now many coastal cities have constructed or being constructing man-made ski resort or golf courses, to maintain the operation of these establishments needs a large amount of fresh water, under the support of government, these problems can be settled by desalination technology.
