The year is 1979, I'm a young and ambitious teenager riding a motorbike with a steel box at the back going to nearby bakery buying Breads and selling by honking around modern and remote housing area from Cheras to Puchong never thinking of rain or shine but in the end, the discomfort would be worth it. My life long dream was to own my own bakery, after a long struggle, in the year 1990 in my kampung style house at Jalan Kampung Pandan with a start up capital of RM5,000.00, I bought some bakery utensils and learn to bake with the help of some friends. After a few trial, I manage to bring my product to my regular customers, and their support was very good. I get up at 4 am each day or may be staying in the bakery until 12 midnight, mixing bags and bags of flour, kneading hundreds of loaves of dough and spending hours in front of hot oven. It's a service to keep up the growing demand. Two years later in 1994, I rented a shoplot and moved to a new place and invested in new machines for mixing and packing purpose. The demand grew more and more rapidly, by year 1997 I decided to move my factory to bigger premises with a workforce of thirty people producing breads nonstop round the clock. |
