The pigment easily dissolves in water but not in fat solvent. Its yellow solution adjusts steadily in PH 2---7, becoming slight red in alkaline. The pigments resistance to lightheatmicrobes and salt is high. It is very hygroscopic in the air, and applicable to coloring drinksice-creamfoodmedicine and cosmetics. The pigment has been formulated to a national standard (standard number GB5716-85).
