Safflower yellow is a natural food dye, a dark yellow powder with weak typical flavor. Consists of safflower yellow extract, dextrin. Imparts yellow color to foodstuff. Soluble in diluted alcohol & propylene glycol, insoluble in oils & ethers. Utilized for producing beverages with acids involved - 0,015-0,15%, confectionery - 0,03-0,15%, frozen products - 0,075-0,3%, jelly - 0,015-0,3%, bakery & spaghetti (macaroni, noodles) - 0,02-0,2%.
