Also known as snake fruit (due to the reddish-brown scaly skin covering a white pulp and one to two large inedible skin seeds), Salacca comes from one of palms species that usually grow in tropical land of southeastern Asia. The fruit grow in clusters at the based of the plants. They are about the size and shape of a ripe fig, with a distinct tip. It tastes usually sweet and acidic, and its apple-like texture is dry and crumbly.Salacca with complete skin (no peel-off) and no watery or rotten ripe at the top edge of the fruit is our export quality standard. All selected salaccas put into basket. Each basket contains 10 kgs of salacca (1 kg contains about 9 pcs of salacca).
